cornflowers from the garden

flowers-from-above1.jpg

bouquet with blue flowers Hello everyone!  I hope you are doing well. I have been working a lot on the blog, doing some necessary but invisible things, coding, resizing, etc.. for the relaunch and I hope you like the new look. But a blog isn't a portfolio and it's not only the shop that is important but what comes inside it. I am glad to be back at arranging flowers and showing you the result today. I am quite desperate with my garden this days: The soil is so bad and so full of stones that nothing is growing properly. Only those beautiful cornflowers seem to like very much. So I made a little messy bouquet after work today and I quite like it. I hope you do too!  Have a nice day and talk to you soon!

garden bouquet with roses iris and aquilegiaroses iris et fougereroses pierre de ronsardbouquet iris roses pierre de ronsardHello!I am back tonight with another bouquet from last weekend. I am still using the Pierre de Ronsard roses from my mum's garden but I decided to mix them with some irises that are growing next to the pond. I usually try to stick to one colour scheme when I make my bouquets and avoid mixing blues and pinks. but I really think it works in this arrangement. Don't you think? I like the contrast between the colours and also between the length of the stems. I also added some blue aquilegia to enhance the irises.  I hope you like this one as much as I do. I wish you all a good night! Elodie

Hello everyone,The trouble when you come back from a lovely weekend with more than 500 flower pic on your memory card is take it takes you ages to view them, select the best ones and edit them to post on the blog when you get back. The good thing is that you have no regret and it feels you with good vibes. I was telling Mr. Love yesterday night that the only thing I can see when I close my eyes is petals and flowers. There are worst things in the world. I hope you enjoy this little bouquet. Have a great week everyone! The Green Gallery

168607-The Green Gallery_Bloemenbureau Holland_2015-f2a345-large-1432664314 Hello everyone,

Last Friday, I had the privilege to attend the launch of The Green Gallery  under the arches of Amsterdam’s world famous Rijksmuseum,  – a magazine celebrating both the beauty and perishableness of nature.

In an enchanted, forest-like setting, the magazine’s content came to life, for one night only. The set up was truly magical and as I said on Instagram during the event, I had the impression to be eating inside a dutch flower painting from the 17th Century.

INSTAGRAM Picture from the Green Gallry Launch For initiator, the Flower Council of Holland, this is the best launch imaginable for their new digital magazine: “Our aim is to show the beauty of flowers and plants through inspiring, artistic and exciting content. This first issue of The Green Gallery revolves around flowers and offers high-end editorial content”, says brand manager Esther de Waard. It was just magical!

The first issue of The Green Gallery is about Flowers

and the second issue coming out this autumn will be about plants. Founding editor Nancy Berendsen created a beautifully curated magazine around flowers , with very inspiring contributors such as Luisa Brimble, Manuela Sosa or Linda Lomelino. The magazine has been created with many creative spirits from Kinfolk Magazine or Elle Deco and with bloggers from around the world. In the Green Gallery, they talk about food, stylism or fashion but their common inspiration is flowers.

The Green Gallery is available in French, German, English and Dutch can be viewed on desktop, mobile and tablet.

LOVEly flowershops: La Frénésie in Brussels

mini bouquet madamelove Hello Everyone, It's a long time since I have found or taken the time to write a blogpost. I still take lots of photos and still make lots of bouquets but somehow, with my little family, my full time job and my 2 hours commuting time every day, I don't know anymore when to blog.

Maybe I should rebrand my little online space or start thinking about new projects to find some new motivation for the blog. In fact I have been working on a new visual identity for madame love with a designer friend for some time now, but I need to stick to it and advance on that project too!

Well well, enough about my little "etats d'ame" as the French would say and back to my blogpost.

Today, I would like to show you a lovely flowershop I visited when I was in Brussels a couple of weeks ago with Mr. Love. This shop is situated in the Marolles district of Brussels, on the square where the gorgeous fleamarket takes place every Sunday. It is called La Frénésie and it is full with lovely vintage decoration and pretty flowers. jacinthe madame lovechair and flowerscactus by madame lovela frenesie bruxellesplant displaysucculent la frenesiewhite flowers la frenesieI love visiting flower shops when I go on holiday somewhere and show you the pictures here. Lilac and hellebores - a pink bouquet

fresh flowers from the garden Hello everyone, I publish less on the blog lately, mainly due to a busy schedule, but I am still making bouquets and enjoying it. I just come back from a very relaxing weekend at my parent's place and I have been playing with flowers and with my camera between two showers all weekend. I will show you some pictures of the garden just after the rain later this week, as I am obsessed with the beauty of rain drops, but first, let me show you my little hellebores and lilac bouquet. lilac and hellebores in the makinglilac and helleboreslilac and hellobores by madame loveHave a relaxing week everyone!
